IGP lauds Ashanti Regional Police Command

Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Dr. John Kudalor commended the Ashanti regional police command for stamping its authority on security in the region particularly in the regional capital, Kumasi, in the face of recent sporadic violent crimes.
 
Dr. Kudalor admitted that the increase in the number of Polling Centres by the Electoral Commission from 26 thousand to 29 thousand for this year's elections has brought additional challenge to the police service as it has had to re-strategize to ensure that the polls are conducted in a peaceful atmosphere.                                                                                                       

The deputy Ashanti regional police commander, ACP Osei Ampofo Duku, noted that the staff strength of the command has reduced significantly as a result of the stalled recruitment since
