PPP 1st Vice Chairman rejects appeal for extension of voters re-registration The First Vice Chairman of the Progressive Peoples Party,(PPP) William Dowokpor, has expressed opposition to call for an extension of the re-registration. He said the time given is enough for Ghanaians to go through the exercise. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr. Dowokpor said the problem is the lackadaisical attitude of some Ghanaians who like to always do things at the last minute, saying this must be checked. However, the CPP supports the appeal for an extension of the exercise. Director of Communications of the Party, Kadri Abdul Rauf, told Radio Ghana that more needs to be done to whip up the interest of Ghanaians to patronize the registration and voting exercise since the level of interest in politics seem to be declining among the people. He said the CPP is playing its part to encourage its supporters to patronize the exercise. GBC
