United Progressive Party outdoors manifesto in Kumasi The United Progressive Party, UPP, has officially outdoored its Manifesto and Campaign in Kumasi in the Ashanti region, ahead of the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. The UPP prefers to call its manifesto, a 10-year development plan while the campaign is on the theme: "Ghana Awake and Live". Launching the manifesto and the campaign, the Founder, Leader and Presidential Candidate of the UPP, Akwasi Addai Odike, explained that the party plans to enact a Legislative Instrument when it comes to power next year, to make the manifesto legally binding on the government to fulfill all the promises contained in it. Mr. Odike blamed many of the socio-economic challenges facing the country on bad leadership by successive governments and that a government of the UPP plans to make Ghana's economic development a private sector-led one to engender job and wealth creation.
