UN Climate Change Conference COP 22 to be held in Morocco

This year's UN Climate Change Conference, COP 22 will be held in Marakesh, Morocco, from 7th - 18th November.  

During that period parties will begin preparation for the coming into force of the COP 21.  

Morocco's Ambassador to Ghana, Nezha Hammdi at a Climate Change and Population Conference in Accra said the Conference in Morocco will have two main objectives  to promote a green economy.

Morocco was among the first countries to sign the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. 

It pledged to ratify the necessary protocols as soon as possible.
