MP donates ambulance to Mampong District Hospital The Mampong Hospital Management Advisory Committee has recommended the setting up of a Community Health Fund to solicit money within and outside Mampong to address challenges facing the hospital. The Medical Superintendent Dr. Kwadwo Nyarko Jectey disclosed this when the MP for Mampong, Francis Addai-Nimoh donated 120,000 cedi Ambulance to the Hospital. The MP used part of his share of the Common fund to purchase the vehicle. He said, the hospital established about 40 years ago and the second largest in Ashanti in terms of beds capacity, has a number of challenges including the lack of an ambulance and the Fund will go a long way to help. Mr. Addai-Nimoh, said every MP has since the beginning of the year received a of one hundred and 55,000 cedis as their share of the NHIS fund covering 2014, 2015 and 2016. He said Human Resource Development depends on Health and Education and it is for this reason that he has used most of his share of the MP fund in these two areas. The Municipal Director of the Ghana Health Service Jacob Amoah appealed to residents and non-resident citizens and the public to support the proposed Community Health Fund to meet challenges in the health sector in the Municipality.
