Government signs MOU to train five thousand youth 

Government has taken another step to bridge the youth unemployment and skills mismatch gap by tasking the Youth Employment Agency, YEA, to engage the NVTI, to train some five thousand youth for the job market. 

An MOU to that effect has been signed in Accra by the three agencies. 

Employment and Labour Relations Minister, Haruna Iddrisu, said government  is gradually addressing the youth unemployment problem through strategic mechanisms  aimed at job creation.

Executive Director of NVTI, Bismark Amponsah, said the institution is ever ready to train people, the challenge however is logistics and modern mechanical tools.
