Petroleum Minister calls on Ghana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria The Minister for Petroleum, Dr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah on July 11, 2016 paid a courtesy call on Ghana's High Commissioner to Nigeria, William Azumah-Awinador Kanyirige. The meeting which took place at the High Commissioner’s residence in Abuja had the two dignitaries discussing several topical issues. This was contained in a statement issued in Accra and signed by the Head, Communications at the Ministry of Petroleum, Edward Abambire Bawa and copied to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, (GBC) on Friday, July 15, 2016. The statement said, Dr. Buah was in Abuja to attend the West African Gas Pipeline Project (WAGP) Committee of Ministers meeting. The meeting which was held on July 12, 2016 according to the statement, was attended by Energy Ministers from Nigeria, Benin, Togo and Ghana. “High on the agenda was the discussion of inadequate gas supply to buyer countries, non-payment by major off-takers and pipeline security.” The statement concluded.
