Nana Addo says Economic Transformation and Eradicating corruption will be key if elected The Flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo Addo, says his main reason for seeking the mandate of the people to become President is to engender industrialization and create jobs for Ghanaians. Nana Akufo Addo made the appeal while addressing rallies at the start of a five day campaign tour of the Ashanti region. His first point of call was Adugyama in the Ahafo Ano South East constituency where he paid a courtesy call on the chief of the town, Nana Boakye Yiadom Kotoko and spelt out his mission. Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Nana Addo said if given the chance, he will replicate in Ghana, the dramatic socio-economic transformation of Cote d'ivoire. He said he will also eradicate corruption from the system so as to speed up national development. He said since Ahafo Ano South district is rich in the cultivation of oil palm, maize and tomatoes, it is feasible for a factory for the processing of these commodities to be established there to encourage the production of oil palm, maize and tomatoes in higher quantities to alleviate poverty.
