The Daily Graphic says there is heightened anxiety in the country ahead of the November polls whose success or otherwise rests in the bosom of the Electoral Commission. The paper supports the call by President John Mahama to give the EC a free hand to prosecute its programmes for the election and therefore urges the EC to do everything to ensure that the outcome of the elections is acceptable to all Ghanaians. The Graphic says notwithstanding the fact that a successful election is a shared responsibility. 

The Ghanaian Times is not surprised that Mr Doe Adjaho has added his voice to the tall list of criticisms against the media. The paper says it will be the first to admit that some media practitioners continue to let down the entire fraternity in the manner they carry out their programmes. The Times joins peace loving Ghanaians to appeal to the media to also heed the advice from the Speaker of Parliament and well- meaning Ghanaians, to do what is right. 

The Daily Heritage lauds the Ghana Health Service's strategy to introduce teenage girls to family planning backed by extensive counseling. In the paper's view, this will offer teenage girls the opportunity to select safe contraceptives with assistance from health personnel. The Heritage therefore calls on parents and guardians to be part of the overall campaign by closely paying attention to the sexual habits of their children. It also encourages teachers to intensify sex education in schools to help stem the tide.
