The Ghanaian Times applauds the Electoral Commission for including journalists in the list of the category of people to be allowed to take part in the special voting in the November Polls. It says journalists play a vital role in the electoral process by disseminating news and carrying diverse opinion. They ensure the legitimacy and acceptance of election results, saying the decision shows recognition of the contribution of journalists to the democratic process. 

The Daily Heritage expresses the need to fight against racism. According to the paper, frantic efforts have been made over the years to educate racists about oneness devoid of colour and class, but still many parts of the world experience deadly racist attacks. The paper says recent development in the US where two blacks were killed by white police officers, gives cause for worry. The Heritage says it is saddened that after many years of battling racism, the canker still plagues the world.

The General Telegraph calls on the police to sanction drivers who drive recklessly. The paper says individual drivers with no formal education are the ones who endanger the safety of other road users. The paper therefore asks the DVLA to ensure that individuals applying for driving licence are able to read and understand the country's Highway Code and road transport regulations.
