Journalists ‘likely’ to partake in special voting Radio Ghana Sources in Parliament have indicated that Journalists may be permitted to cast their votes in this year’s election under the 'special voting' window with the security personnel before the general election on the proposed first Monday of November. The Parliamentary Committee on Subsidiary Legislation is to consider the Public Elections Regulations 2016 which was laid in the Floor of the House today (July 8). The Public Elections Regulations will make provision for the inclusion of reporters in the Special election category for the security agencies. The earlier draft of the regulations did not make provision for the inclusion of media personnel in the 'special voting.' The regulations will spell out the details of how the elections would be conducted. A Paper on the Representation of the people in respect of Parliamentary Constituencies Instrument 2016 will also be laid. Our correspondents later caught up the Deputy Majority leader Alfred Agbesi. He spoke on the laying of the two papers on the November Elections. GBC
