South Sudan: Five soldiers killed in Juba clashes

Five members of the security services in South Sudan have been killed in the capital, Juba. 

The five were killed in shootout in the capital.  

Defence Minister Kuol Manyang Juuk who made the announcement said the armed men who are loyal to the country's Vice-President Riek Machar opened fire from a car.  

South Sudan's civil war broke out in December 2013 after clashes between soldiers loyal to Mr Machar and those to President Salva Kiiir.  

The two men are now part of the national unity government.
