COMOG congratulates Muslims The Coalition of Muslim Organisations Ghana, COMOG, has congratulated Muslims on their fortitude and endurance during the month long Ramadan fast. It encourages Ghanaians not to only pray for peace before, during and after the election, but also let their prayers reflect in their thoughts utterances and actions to prevent violence and maintain the country's peace and stability. In a statement by the General Secretary of COMOG, Abdel Manan Abdel Rahman, the group also urged the EC and the Security Agencies to ensure justice, fairness and firmness in the discharge of their duties during the election. It urged the media to in the interest of peace, guard against the use of offensive language in the run-up to the polls. COMOG further called on Muslim chiefs and stakeholders in Muslim community to ensure that the youth celebrate the Eid-ul-fitr in moderation to promote the good image of Islam. GBC
