“Be renewed by Ramadan Fast—Alhaji Chocho tells Muslims

The Eastern Regional President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, Alhaji Dr. Mustapha Oti Boateng, has congratulated all Muslim faithful for successfully observing the 30-day Ramadan fast, (Eid’ul Fitr festival). 

He said this in an exclusive interview with Radio Ghana at Suhum in the Eastern Region.
 
Alhaji Oti Boateng, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Chocho Industries and Company Limited, took the opportunity to wish all Muslims a happy Eid, urging them to celebrate in moderation. 

The Ramadan fasting, he noted, is Allah’s own arrangement for man to learn self-discipline and restraint in order to edify themselves. 

Alhaji Oti Boateng cautioned Muslims against going back to their sinful ways after the 30-day period of cleansing, as doing so will negate all gains that will have been made through the fasting. Islam being a religion of peace, he pointed out, has no room for violence and therefore no true Muslim will allow themselves to be used by unscrupulous politicians to perpetrate violence. 

Alhaji Oti Boateng therefore cautioned the youth, particularly the Muslims, to shun anyone who might wish to use them to cause mayhem as the punishment for those who hatch evil will also befall those who collaborate with them. 

Muslims throughout the country observes Eid’ul Fitr today, Wednesday, July 6 and the day has been declared a public holiday.

The Ramadan is a period used by adherents of Islam to rededicate themselves to Allah through fasting and abstinence. 

They avoid any form of physical indulgence in order to purify themselves as well as get closer to their inner spirit and Creator.
