Petroleum Commission drafts Exploration and Production Regulations

The Petroleum Commission has engaged its various stakeholders on the draft Petroleum Exploration and Production Regulations under the Ghana Norway-Cooperation Programme. 

It is to specify the format, contents and standards required for the preparation and submission to support the efficient exploitation of the country's hydrocarbon resources. 

At a stakeholders engagement in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Theophilus Ahwireng, said the Regulations and Guidelines were developed by a cross-sectoral team, led by the Commission with assistance from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate and submitted to Parliament for approval.
