Project Coordinator calls for collective efforts to execute SADA’s success 

The Project Coordinator of the Coalition of Savanna Agriculture Development Authority (SADA), Zone Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Sayibu Mahamoud Sule has called on various stakeholders to work collectively to ensure the success of SADA.
     
He said SADA is a national program aimed at closing the development gap between the North and the South, therefore, the involvement of CSOs was critical towards the realisation of SADA’s Medium Term Development Plan (MTDP).
     
Mr. Sule made the request, at Tamale over the weekend during a Regional Consultative Forum, organised by the Coalition, and led by the Northern Patriots in Research and Advocacy (NORPRA) with the Concerned Citizens Association of Tamale (CCAT) to solicit their input into the SADA-MTDP.
    
The forum was meant to seek their views on the Livelihood Improvement and Poverty Reduction aspects, especially within the Northern Savanna Ecological Zone.
     
Mr. Sule said the fight against poverty and underdevelopment will not succeed without valuable contributions of all, especially from the youth and women.
     
He said experience has proven that a good quality of life enabled individuals to take control of complex developmental challenges in society; and called for team work to execute the national development agenda.
     
Mr. Emmanuel Tia Nabila, a representative of SADA, said the Authority’s Master Plan was tailored towards providing an integrated data management system, such as high resolution maps and the development of Regional Concept Plans.
    
He said some cities in the SADA zone would have zoning plans and urban design proposals; environment plans, transport, utilities and ICT infrastructure proposals.
    
He commended members of the CSO coalition for coming together to work towards success and gave the assurance that SADA would partner organisations having SADA at heart.
