CPP suspends two of its national executives

The Communication Director of the Convention People's Party, Abdul Kadiri, says their National Youth Coordinator and General Secretary have exhibited some actions that contradict the party’s constitutions.  

For this reason, Mr. Kadiri said a collective decision has been made by the party to suspend them.  

According to him, the two executives have acted on certain issues and made some decisions without consulting any of the party leaders or the constitution.  

Speaking on our current affairs programme, ‘Behind the News,’ Mr. Kadiri said the party has not served them any letter yet but will do so soon.   

Suspended National Youth Organiser of the party, Ernesto Yeboah, said it is unfortunate that a party with integrity will suspend its members for fighting corruption.

He said the decision taken by the central committee of the CPP can affect the fortunes of the party in the up-coming elections.  

Mr. Yeboah said the fight against corruption is to restore hope and integrity in the country's politics.
