NACOB committed to checking drug abuse in Ghana

The Executive Director of the Narcotics Control Board, NACOB, Yaw Akrasi Sarpong, has attributed the high rate of drug abuse in the country to lack of parental control and guidance. 

According to him, parents and teachers' unwillingness to take good care of their wards make them go astray and influenced by peers. 

He said the board is collaborating with stakeholders to check the menace in the country. 

This was in a message read by the Greater Accra Regional Commander of NACOB, Victoria Essenam at the celebration of World Drugs Day in Accra.
