President Mahama Asks Ghanaians To Keep Faith As Economy Gains Resilience

President John Mahama says generally, the country can be said to be safe. 

He said efforts have also been made to equip the security services to live up to the task of securing and protecting the country. 

President Mahama mentioned the issue of Fulani herdsmen as one huge challenge which threatens the country's security, adding that there is the need for comprehensive strategy in dealing with the menace.

President Mahama said currently counter terrorism forces are being trained in collaboration with international partners to put the country in readiness for the unlikely event of the global canker of terrorism. 
On the economy, President Mahama said the macro economy looks good as it is being diversified. 

He said as leader he had to take certain tough decisions like deregulating the petroleum sector and striking off subsidies among others to keep the economy stable. 

President Mahama appealed to Ghanaians to keep faith as the economy is more resilient than before.

Meanwhile, President Mahama has condemned people who describe the country as a bad case. 

He said the situation where commentary on corruption is skewed towards government is unfortunate. 

He spoke on the issue of sole sourcing and the current Ford Expedition saga, in which he has been allegedly implicated.
