ECG cautions public over possible fallen electricity transmission lines during downpours The Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG, is advising the public to be cautious whenever it rains. It says some wires or conductors may be disconnected during the downpour and people wading through rain water may be electrocuted. Speaking to Radio Ghana on some dos and don’ts in ensuring safety during the rainy season, the Accra West PRO of the ECG, Eric Asante said the company will not compromise the safety of its customers. On the issue of some places going off for long hours when it is not raining, Mr Asante noted that some may be due to faults on transmission lines on the part of GRIDCO. He said there is enough power in the system for distribution. GBC
