President Mahama loses Mother

Mother of President John Mahama, Abiba Nnaba Mahama is dead.

She is reported to have died at the SSNIT Hospital in Accra Tuesday.

Reports say the late Nnaba Mahama will be buried later Wednesday in line with Islamic tradition.

Confirming the death of his mother in a tweet, President Mahama paid an emotional tribute to the mother saying “Abiba Nnaba (1931-2016) Fare thee well "Mami". I'll forever miss your gentle dignity.”

Meanwhile, the 2016 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has consoled President John Mahama on the death of his mother in a tweet saying, “I extend my condolences to @JDMahama and his family on the passing of his mother, Madam Abiba Nnaba. May she rest in perfect peace.”
