ECG overbilling saga: committee to present report Next Week The Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy says its report on the ECG over billing saga will be ready and presented to the House by next week for prompt action. Contributing to our Current Affairs Programme ‘FOCUS,’ via telephone, the Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Amadu Sorogho, said as part of their fact finding mission members visited the ECG laboratory to find out the real situation regarding the electricity billings and other concerns. A member of the Committee and MP for Effia, Joseph Cudjoe called for a better understanding of the ECG and customer issues, stressing that over billing is not the only problem. The Director of Public Affairs and External Relations of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission, Nana Yaa Jantuah, said the defensive stand of the ECG must be curtailed whiles her outfit ensures that the right thing is done.
