CODEO, NDC react to ‘Mac Manu’s election declaration comment’ National Coordinator for the coalition of Domestic Election Observers, CODEO, Kofi Arhin says it is dangerous for any political party to declare its own election results when the Electoral Commission has not done so. He says such a move can unleash chaos in the country or in certain electoral areas. Mr Arhin was reacting to comments by an NPP Stalwart, Mark Manu that the party would declare its own results. Mr Arhin said it is only the Electoral Commission which is mandated by law to collate and declare result. National Youth Organiser of the NPP, Sammy Awuku says the party's campaign Manager, Mac-Manu's comment was intended to build confidence in students of Takoradi Polytechnic. Mr Awuku said if the Electoral Commission presents results that do not tally with its compilation, the party will declare the results it has to the EC. Meanwhile, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Koku Anyidoho says the statement by Mr Mac-Manu depicts lawlessness and ridicule to the EC's mandate. GBC
