Programme to distribute supplementary readers to public schools launched

The Ghana Education Service in collaboration with USAID has launched a programme to distribute supplementary readers to pupils in basic schools nationwide. 

This is to ensure that children become fluent readers. 

The US Ambassador to Ghana, Robert Jackson said reading helps to develop and sharpen the mind as well as open a new world of opportunities to the reader.
