NLA supports Volta Regional Hospital with incubators

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has presented four incubators valued at Gh¢56,000 to the Volta Regional Hospital in Ho.  

The donation, which forms part of the Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility, is to complement the efforts of the medical staff to enhance neo-natal care at the Children’s hospital.
     
The hospital, prior to the presentation, had three old incubators which were inadequate.  
     
A statement signed by Mrs Kessewaah Dolphyne, the Corporate Communications Manager of NLA, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, said the donation was made on behalf of the Authority by Reuben Baye, the Volta Regional Sales Manager of the Authority, to the Management of the Hospital. 

The statement said the NLA was touched by the plight of the Hospital when the chiefs of the Asogli State made the requisition on behalf of the Hospital.

It charged the Management of the Hospital to put the equipment to good use.

It said the NLA was keen on investing in the health of the people and that included the resourcing of hospitals with equipment to reduce infant mortality. 

The statement said the monies of the people who played NLA’s games and did not win, went into supporting such projects, which inured to the benefit of society, thus either way one was still a winner.
   
It said Dr Lord Mensah, the Head of the Children’s Department, on behalf of the Management of the Hospital, thanked the NLA for their support and also thanked the chief of Ho Heve, Togbe Anikpe III, and the chiefs of the Asogli State, for soliciting the support on behalf of the Hospital.
