Adopt pictorial health warnings on tobacco products - Advocates

Tobacco Control Advocates say Ghana must urgently adopt pictorial health warnings on tobacco products to alert consumers of the dangers associated with the products. 

Currently, tobacco products in Ghana have only text health warnings embossed on them. 

At a Tobacco Pictorial Health Warnings Exhibition in Accra,  members of the Coalition of NGO's in Tobacco Control believe the text health warnings have still not achieved the desired results as many still do not appreciate the health risks in tobacco use.
