3rd annual Agribusiness Investment Summit to take place in Accra The 3rd annual Ghana Agribusiness Investment Summit takes place in Accra today with focus on expanding the frontiers of agricultural finance in Ghana. The summit under the auspices of USAID-Financing Ghanaian Agriculture Project, USAID-FinGAP, aims at showcasing viable investment opportunities in the maize, soy and rice value chains. It will also link small, medium and large scale enterprises in need of financing to financial institutions for investment to increase production. More than four hundred stakeholders including local and international investors, farmers and development agencies will be attending the summit. USAID-FinGAP is a five year project which has in less than three years of it's life facilitated more than eighty-five million dollars in private capital into the three target value chains by financial institutions. This has directly benefited more than 63 thousand small holder farmers in the three regions of the North engaged in the production of rice consumed locally and used as raw material by agro processors across the country.
