Court remands unemployed man for robbery An unemployed man Yao Attiatorme has been remanded into custody for robbery and causing harm to one Eric Johnson. The robbery took place on the 13th of this month at about 2:30am when the complainant was sleeping in his room at Spintex Baatsona in Accra. Narrating the incident to the court, Chief Inspector Kwame Adu said Attiatorme forced the complainant's door open and pulled out a scissors and attempted to stab him but was overpowered. However, in the ensuing struggle, the accused managed to chop off complainant's right ear and made away with his two mobile phones, television, video deck, and a cash of ยข580. A report was made to the police and Attiatorme was arrested. Whiles in police custody, one Agbodemegbe Atsu attempted to smuggle one wrapper of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp to Attiatorme. Atsu has also been charged with possessing narcotic drugs and smuggling things into prison. He has also been remanded into custody to reappear on the 11th of next month. GBC
