Northern regional police intercept 320 riffles 

The Northern Regional Police Command has intercepted three hundred and twenty (320) AK47 ammunition and two sets of empty magazines concealed in a bus at Savelugu near Tamale in the Northern Region. 

Twenty-eight year old Yussif Salifu has been arrested in connection with the seized ammunition. 

According to the Savelugu Police Commander, ASP Kwadjo Tawiah, the incident occurred last Sunday evening as the bus was heading to Kumasi from Bolgatanga. 

The suspect is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
