Ghana Rugby team gears up for Seven Series International Assignment The Senior National Rugby 7s team, the Black Eagles is currently preparing feverishly in a non-residential camping in Accra, ahead of a major international competition. The Ghana National Rugby 7s, team is expected to do battle in the Confederation of African Rugby (CAR), Rugby 7s competition, which starts from 28th of May 2016 in Lome, Togo. Ghana, place second in the last edition and will be expected to win this edition after a successful 2015/2016 league season. A total of 25 players have been called to partake in the non-residential training sessions in the mornings and evenings at the Osu Salem park and University of Ghana, Legon rugby pitch respectively. According to officials, the team will be trimmed down by the close of the month to give way to full camping. The Black Eagles are expected to do battle with Cameroon, Mali, Nigeria, Cote d ivore and the host nation Togo. GNA
