Eastern Region NHIA exceeds 2015 target

The Eastern Regional Directorate of the National Health Insurance Authority, NHIA, exceeded the target set for them for 2015 by the National leadership of the scheme. 

The Regional Director of NHIA, Alhaji Seidu Samson Abudu, disclosed this in an interview with Radio Ghana in Koforidua. 

According to him, the region enrolled 1,169,682 which is more than the set target by 10 percent with all the schemes under the region exceeding their targets. 

He attributed the feat to several programmes the authority brought on board within the year such as the free registration of the aged, vulnerable, pregnant women and school children.
