GIS launches strategic plan to manage migration issues The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has launched a five year strategic plan to comprehensively manage migration issues in Ghana. The plan would critically focus on combating irregular migration and ensure national security. Speaking at the opening of a four day workshop in Accra to commence the process and develop the plan for 2016 -2020, the Deputy Director of the GIS, Felix Yaw Sarpong said the strategic plan is a systematic process of envisioning a desired future and translate this vision into broadly defined goals.
