The Daily Graphic believes it is about time the Electoral Commission started cracking the whip on political parties to respect the regulations governing them. The paper says the regulations enjoin the political parties to file their audited accounts with the EC every year and also have physical presence in two thirds of the districts of the country but this is being flouted with impunity. The Graphic is of the view that political parties should critically respect the regulations especially when they seek the mandate of the people to rule. 

The Ghanaian Times finds the warning by President John Mahama to traditional leaders to stop conniving with nomadic Fulani herdsmen appropriate. The President explained that the connivance of the chiefs with the herdsmen is putting impediment in the way of the security personnel. The paper appeals to the chiefs to pay heed to the president's caution and desist from condoning with the Fulani herdsmen. The Times entreats them to put their subjects’ welfare above their personal interests. 

The Today Newspaper is happy that finally government has approved the building of a new three-classroom facility for the people of Mepe in the North Tongu district of the Volta region. The paper says it checks on site revealed that a local contractor is on the job and work has already begun. It encourages other media entities to channel their energy towards bringing to the fore issues of developments as it is through that the people of Mepe are the receiving help and assistance they needed.
