JICA to help government boost rice production in Ghana Japan International Cooperation Agency, JICA , says it will support government to boost the production of rice in the country. Currently, the country spends millions of dollars to import the commodity, a development which is having a toll on local rice producers. The Chief Representative of JICA Ghana, Koji Makino, who announced this in an exclusive interview with Radio Ghana on the 40th Anniversary of JICA's Training of Ghanaians in Japan, said JICA is putting in place measures to increase rice production domestically. Also, it is supporting the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to strengthen Agric business and Agric mechanization across the country. GBC
