Nigeria government under attack over Chibok girls

The government of Nigeria has denied that it has paid lip service to rescue the abducted Chibok girls.

The denial comes after a  prominent pastor in Nigeria, Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Gospel Assembly criticized the government for failing to rescue the more than 200 girls abducted by militant Islamist group Boko Haram from their boarding school in the north-eastern town of Chibok almost two years ago.

The pastor said the whole nation has failed these children adding that Political parties paid lip service, using the pain and plight of the abducted girls to score cheap political points. 

Meanwhile, the government has denied media reports that Boko Haram is demanding 50 million dollars as ransom for the release of the girls.
