ECG to surcharge Assemblies for Street Lights malfunction Residents of some communities in parts of Accra are worried that street lights in their localities do not function during the night, rather they operate during the day. Others also say it appears no institution is really responsible for the street lights. But the PRO of ECG, Eric Asante, says all street lights are supposed to have photo-cells, but most of these do not have it and must be operated manually. He told Radio Ghana that the ECG will soon move to those communities to disconnect all street lights which are left on during the day and surcharge the District and municipal Assemblies. GBC
