Immediate past Archbishop of Kumasi Catholic Arch diocese passes on The death is reported in Kumasi of the immediate past Archbishop of the Kumasi Catholic Arch Diocese, Most Reverend Emeritus Thomas Kwaku Mensah. A source close to the Archdiocese who confirmed the death to Radio Ghana in Kumasi, said Most Rev.Emeritus Mensah passed on yesterday at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where he was receiving medical care after a short illness. Most Rev. Emeritus Mensah served as the first Diocesan Bishop of Obuasi, when it was created in 1995. He was later appointed by the late Pope John Paul as the Archbishop of the Kumasi Arch Diocese where he served for about five years. Until his passing, Most Rev. Emeritus, Mensah, was one of the two surviving former Bishops of the Kumasi Arch Diocese. GBC
