EC, parties to fashion out modality to relay decisions at IPAC 

The Electoral Commission and political parties are to fashion out modalities to communicate decisions arrived at the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting to the media. 

There have been instances of misrepresentation of the decisions taken at IPAC meetings with the various political parties taking a different stance.  

This development does not augur well for EC and the political parties. 

It is for this reason that IPAC at its yesterday's meeting decided to come out with guidelines on how decisions reached should be communicated.  

Speaking on 'Behind the News' the Director of Election of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo said the meeting was successful.  

He said the meeting discussed the pilot voter registration, the Steering Committee among others.

The Acting General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu says if the modalities are fashioned out well they will carry the exact message of the EC.
