Political parties must engage trained polling agents

A Political Scientist and Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Democratic Governance, Dr. Kwesi Jonah, says many opportunities exist for political parties to influence free, fair, transparent and peaceful elections. 

Parties should therefore seize these opportunities and utilize them in the interest of democracy in the country.  

He said political parties must use educated and trained polling agents who are very conversant with election rules and regulations.

Dr. Jonah was speaking on the topic, ‘Towards Free, Fair and Undisputed Elections, The Role of Political Parties’ at the second in a series of media conventions organised by the Ghana Journalists Association, GJA in Kumasi.
