The Daily Graphic is urging the Controller and Accountants General Department to immediately release the 135,000 passport forms to ease the tension that has characterize the acquisition of passport. To the Graphic, this has created some panic among the travelling public. The paper is surprised at the short supply of passport forms in all the banks at the same time. In the view of the paper, the online must be fast track especially as a result of the increase in the cost of printing the forms.  The paper says if this is done the situation could encourage middleman known as ‘Goro Boys' who exploit applicants who often  have to resort to long queues for many days in an effort to process their documents. 

The Ghanaian Times writes on the activities of some recruiting agents that recruit prospective job seekers to Kuwait and other countries. According to the paper, these people pay huge sums of monies to these agencies with the hope of lucrative jobs in their host countries only to be fleeced by the agencies. To the paper, it is high time government check the activities of this agencies and weed out the illegals ones. This, the paper believes will save the nation from further embarrassment. According to the Times, though the labour department promise to weed out the illegal agencies from the system much has not been done. The paper therefore called on the country’s security agents like the BNI, National Security, the CID and the Ghana Immigration Service to take up the task and clamp down on the faceless people behind these agencies exploiting innocent people.

The Daily Heritage believes that if Ghanaians are not taught how to detect irregular and suspicious behaviour of people in their surroundings the country will become vulnerable to attacks. It says the National Security Council must take charge and get the people involved at all times and educate them on what to look out for and how they can alert the security forces when the need arises.
