NHIS to present blueprint on road map for Ghana's healthcare delivery by June

Government says it is expecting a blue print by the end of June this year from the National Health Insurance Scheme which will clearly determine the road map and destination in Ghana's health care delivery. 

To this end, the NHIA has set up a fourteen member advisory committee chaired by Dr. Chris Atim to undertake six terms of reference. 

They are sustainability, efficiency, equity, governance, accountability and user satisfaction. 

At its maiden meeting with the technical committee of the scheme, Deputy Health Minister, Victor Bampoe said the many challenges facing the NHIA if not solved will impede health care delivery with the vulnerable at the receiving end.
