GPRTU cautions against arbitrary fare increase

The National Chairman of the GPRTU, Kwame Kuma says no transport operator or driver has the right to increase transport fares because of the marginal petroleum price increase. 

Mr Kuma told Radio Ghana that the Union has an agreement with the Ministry of Transport which requires negotiation before fares are reviewed. 

He said any driver who violates the directive would be prosecuted.
