MPs fume over directive banning cashew export

Parliament has urged the Ministry of Trade and Industry to suspend and take a second look at its directive banning the exportation of raw cashew nuts. 

The House made the call when the MP for Banda and Deputy Majority Whip, Ahmed Ibrahim made a Statement on the Floor on the ordeals of poor cashew farmers in the Brong Ahafo and the three Regions of the North. 

The MPs were livid about the directive and implored the Ministry to withdraw the order as it has brought untold hardships to poor cashew farmers.
