Ghana Police Service confirms DCOP Awuni's death


The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the death of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Mr Angwubotoge Awuni, the Eastern Regional Police Commander.

A statement issued by Superintendent of Police Cephas Arthur, Police Public Relations Officer, said DCOP Awuni passed away on the dawn of March 14, 2016 at the Police Hospital after a short illness.

The statement expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Ghana Police Service and said the public would be informed of the funeral arrangements.
