The Daily Graphic comments on the spate of fire outbreaks in the country despite the awareness creation by the Ghana National Fire Service. It notes that when fire razes down homes and commercial property, the consequences are grave on the victims and the nation. The Daily Graphic thinks that as a nation, we are not doing enough to curb the causes of the fires, especially in the markets. The paper expresses its sympathy to all the victims of recent fires and calls on the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to take steps to protect all.
                               
The Ghanaian Times expresses concern over technical and vocational training, noting that the success of industrialisation hinges on the quality of the technical knowledge. It joins the government in calling for an end to the negative perception that technical education is for the academically weak. The paper commends government for the bold initiatives and is confident that programmes initiated by government to boost the growth of technical and vocational training will make education in that sector more attractive to the youth, as they will secure the requisite skills for the job market and be entrepreneurs. It calls on all to consider technical and vocational education as viable option for self-development and employment.
