EC begins nationwide pilot registration today


The Electoral Commission (EC) has started  a nationwide pilot registration exercise with upgraded biometric kits Today March 12, 2016.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Public Affairs Director of the EC, Christian Owusu Parry, asked Ghanaians to visit selected registration centres to participate in the exercise.

He told GBC’s George Ankrah that the purpose is to test the effectiveness of the biometric kits to ascertain its capacity and efficiency.

He said the limited registration will come off in May to capture first time voters.
