Upper West steps up campaign for accident free Easter As this year's Easter approaches, key actors in the road sector in the Upper West Region have intensified their educational campaign on the need to ensure accident free Easter festivity. The Regional heads of the National Road Safety Commission, the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) and Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) have been interacting with drivers of transport unions including the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) and the Progressive Transport Owners Association (PROTOA) to drum home, the need for them to maintain sanity on the road. The Regional Manager of the National Road Safety Commission, Mohammed Abdul-wahab said intensification of the educational campaign has become necessary because the tendency for drivers to misbehave during the Easter festivity is very high hence, the need to draw their attention to the negative impact of their actions on innocent passengers.
