Health experts meeting in Rwanda call for further research into influenza in Africa Health experts in Rwanda have called for further research into influenza in Africa to find best ways of dealing with the disease. The experts made the call during the opening of the fifth African Network for Influenza Surveillance and Epidemiology meeting in Kigali. The meeting involved more than 150 global epidemiologists, academicians and experts. Opening the meeting, Rwanda's Health Minister, Agnes Binagwaho, said influenza is a public health issue and that bringing such people together helps in other fields in the health sector. BBC
