Medeama to decide future of coach Tom Strand on Tuesday


Medeama will hold a showdown meeting on Tuesday to decide the future of coach Tom Marcus Strand.

Officials of the Tarkwa-based side are incensed with the unprofessional attitude exhibited by the Swedish trainer during the side's Premier League game at Kotoko on Sunday and will decide his fate after Tuesday's crucial meeting.

Strand, 35, abandoned his role during the side's 2-2 stalemate with the Porcupine Warriors after he was prevented from substituting tormentor-in-chief Kwame Boahene.

Technical director Augustine Evans Adotey stood his ground and thwarted any attempt to replace the mercurial winger.
 
The attitude of the former Bechem United gaffer will not go unpunished with the club's top officials expected to decide his long-term future on Tuesday.

Strand's poor substitution led to the side's shocking 2-0 defeat at home to Hearts last week.

And officials have vowed to deal with the European head-on for denting the image of the club.

It's unclear what the sanction will be but could range from pay-cut, caution, suspension or outright dismissal.
