Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan to visit Ghana Parliament will on next Thursday host the President of the Republic of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan. President Erdogan will address Parliament as part of his official visit to the country. This was contained in the business statement of parliament presented by Majority Chief Whip, Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka. The Turkish President's visit is the second by a high profile foreign to dignitary to Parliament this year. The Italian Prime Minister Matheo Renz also addressed Parliament on the second of this month. Also in Parliament next week will be the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Kofi Wampa. Dr. Wampa will on Thursday give further clarification on the operation of micro finance companies. Although the Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper appeared before Parliament on Tuesday over the same issue, it was apparent that the Governor of the Central Bank also had to come in with more information. This meeting with the MP's will however be a closed sitting. Mr. Muntaka also said Parliament will host a conference on Global Action to be held on Wednesday at the Auditorium of the Job 600. GBC
